Directed by Sci-Fi auteur Paul Verhoeven with his signature mix of camp and excessive violence, Starship Troopers had fans but was misunderstood upon release in 1997- it's now rightfully regarded as a Cult Classic and prescient satire of fascism, authoritarian government, and how technological advancement doesn't necessarily advance society.
