The Rocky Horror Picture Show finally returns to the JPT screen after over 20 years in a stunning 4k restoration (recently rereleased for this iconic film's 50th anniversary). The hands-down top Cult Classic of all time (no hyperbole), The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a film phenomenon unto itself! Born onto the screen in 1975, Rocky Horror has been electrifying audiences and organically transforming into a wonderfully strange cinematic experience unlike any other for 51 years! This Rock N Roll horror musical is screened with live music on stage pre-film by David Tessier's All Star Stars- singing film-inspired songs from the 70's, including Time Warp!

In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker (Meat Loaf) and a creepy butler (Richard O'Brien). Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named "Rocky."

This screening is dedicated to the immortal Tim Curry!

Important Note: “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” is not your typical theatrical screening— it’s a cult classic celebrated for its outrageous humor and interactive audience traditions. These traditions include multiple movie-cued audience call-outs before the film and the use of certain "props" that are used by audience members in their seats and sometimes tossed in the air.

To keep The JPT clean and safe for everyone to enjoy, here are a few friendly reminders:

This screening will likely sell out, so please arrive early, stay patient, and be kind. After 20 years there are bound to be multiple first-timers (or Rocky Horror virgins as they're known)!

While it would be absurd to countermand the tradition of audience participation during a Rocky Horror screening, please note that this is just a screening (no live 'shadow cast performance' during the film) and while audience callbacks are encouraged if the spirit moves you (& fine if not!), please refrain from gratuitous noise to allow people to enjoy the movie!

A limited supply of JPT-friendly prop bags will be available for purchase ($8) in the lobby— come early to grab yours!

When tossing props, aim to the sides, up, or behind you— never at the screen! Do not throw anything that can cause harm falling. Prohibited items: rice, toast, or any real food product, open flames, confetti. After the show, please leave The JPT better than you found it. Please clean up your area and the area around you of any prop items.
