NOVEMBER 24
"It will tumble from the sky..." It's David Bowie Night at the Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center!
To mark the 50th anniversary of the release of director Nicolas Roeg’s (Don’t Look Now) seminal science fiction odyssey, THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH, the JPT is thrilled to screen a 4K rerelease of this wonderfully weird cult classic. Featuring a startling and era defining lead performance from David Bowie (The Prestige, Labyrinth) in his debut feature role and based on the cult novel by Walter Tevis, The Man Who Fell to Earth endures as, not only a bitingly caustic indictment of the modern world but, also, a poignant commentary on the loneliness of the outsider.
To fully embrace the aristry of the otherworldly talent who was David Bowie, rock out to a 50 minute set of incredible LIVE Bowie music played on stage before the film by David Tessier's 6 piece All Star Stars. The band will play the entirety of Bowie's legendary album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars!
“Power, space, time and a visitor.”
