THE THIRD MAN 75TH ANNIVERSARY 4K RESTORATION

FEBRUARY 4

A must-see Film Noir for cinephiles voted the best British Film ever made by the BFI, The Third Man has been restored in stunning 4k for its 75th anniversary this February. Revered for its beautiful (and Oscar winning) black & white cinematography, The Third Man employs harsh lighting and Dutch angles filmed in war-ruined locations of Vienna. This combined with legendary author Graham Greene's suspenseful script yielded a cynical Cold War classic that feels savvy today. (You'll also be humming the best-selling zither played theme song for days!)

Enjoy a free Pinot Noir tasting w/ this classic Film Noir in the lobby pre-film. Doors open @ 6:45.

Holly Martins (Joseph Cotten), a writer of pulp Westerns, arrives in a bombed-out, post-war Vienna at the invitation of his childhood friend Harry Lime (Orson Welles) only to find him dead. Martins develops the ultimate conspiracy theory after learning of a “third man” present at the time of Harry’s death, butting up against interference from British police officer Major Calloway (Trevor Howard), and falling head-over-heels for Harry’s grief-stricken lover Anna (Alida Valli).
