O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU? W/ LIVE FOLK CONCERT BY PRINCESS JUNE!

JULY 30

Directed by the Cohen Brothers, O Brother, Where Art Thou? is sepia tinted magic-storytelling with one of the best original musical soundtracks ever arranged (by the legendary T. Bone Burnett). A loose (and often hilarious) adaptation of Homer's The Odyssey, O Brother's great performances are amplified by the film's gorgeous color-pallet and Grammy-Award-winning Folk music soundtrack. Get into the vintage Americana vibe with an amazing live concert of themed Folk Music by New England favorite band Princess June pre-film!

Ulysses Everett McGill (George Clooney) is having difficulty adjusting to his hard-labor sentence in Mississippi. He scams his way off the chain gang with simple Delmar (Tim Blake Nelson) and maladjusted Pete (John Turturro), then the trio sets out to pursue freedom and the promise of a fortune in buried treasure. With nothing to lose and still in shackles, their hasty run takes them on an incredible journey of awesome experiences and colorful characters.

Princess June is a mystic folk trio from Newport, Rhode Island composed of singer/songwriters Myah Strauser (Whitefish, MT) Griffin Keeffe (North Kingstown, RI) and Telli Quinn (Middletown, RI).With an emphasis on rich three-part harmonies, Princess June gets a great deal of their inspiration from bands such as The Mama's and the Papa's, Fleet Foxes, Fleetwood Mac, The Cowsills, Donovan, Nick Drake, Simon and Garfunkel, and many more. Their latest acclaimed album Beyond The Fence celebrated its release at jam-packed, very well received concert on the JPT stage this past March!

Doors open at 6:30, Princess June plays live at 7:00, Film at 8:00.
