JPT Covid Policy for Special Events & Movies
Your safety, comfort, and love of seeing films and performers in the theater, remain our highest priority. We have installed a new air purification system to be sure the air in our building is clean and sanitary. We have a general policy for films and a more specific policy for live events that is listed below

David Sedaris September 28-29
To ensure the safety of everyone attending, in order to gain admittance to either of the performances, every ticketholder must provide documentation of the attendees having received full vaccination with a printed vaccination card, or a Covid test taken within 48 hours proving a negative result. For those unfamiliar, there are many locations in the Newport area offering free and frequent opportunities for Covid PCR and rapid tests. Additionally, regardless of vaccination status, all audiences must wear a face mask unless eating or drinking.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we navigate the pandemic.
Tom Rush November 4th
Per the request of the artist, proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the event will be required for admission to Tom Rush with Matt Nakoa on Thursday, November 4 at 7:30pm.
Your Vaccination Card or a clear photo of your vaccination card, along with your photo ID, will be checked at the door to confirm vaccination status. For patrons providing a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the event, please bring printed proof of the negative test.
Final Vaccination must have occurred by Thursday, October 21 to be eligible to enter on November 4. For patrons providing a negative PCR test, the test must be taken on November 2 or later. Please note that verifying vaccination status or negative test results at the doors will lead to increased wait times to enter the Jane Pickens Theater. Admission will open at 6:30pm and we ask all patrons to plan on arriving early if possible. Failure to provide proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test will result in you being turned, and your tickets will not be refunded.

We are only selling 50% capacity so that you can pick your own seats and be socially distant.
If you are vaccinated, you are not required to wear a mask in the theater, yet you certainly can wear a mask if you are more comfortable that way. If you are not vaccinated, we ask that you please be honest, follow state and CDC guidelines and wear a mask while inside the theater. In all cases if possible, we do request that you leave a seat between you and others. If you do not feel comfortable with your seating options, we will work to the best of our availability to find you a new seat.
We assure you that we will be constantly reevaluating guidelines to insure your safety when you visit us.
Thank you for your support.
