“Ending the summer with these beloved films is our way of celebrating the enduring impact they’ve had on audiences. We’re excited to offer our guests the chance to experience them in a venue as historic and unique as The JPT,” said Alex Whitney, General Manager at The JPT.
Dirty Dancing (Friday, August 27, Live Music Espresso Martini Tasting at 6:30 PM and Screening at 7:30 PM)
Dirty Dancing, a film that has charmed audiences since its release in 1987, returns to The JPT for an evening of romance, music, and dance. Set against the backdrop of a summer resort in the 1960s, the film stars Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey navigate love and ambition through iconic dance routines and a memorable soundtrack.
Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy an Espresso Martini tasting by new JPT vendor Lyvely and a live set of music before the film by Newport favorites Motion Avenue featuring tunes from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack. For tickets and more information on Dirty Dancing, click here.

Following the immense success of the 1986 original, Top Gun: Maverick brings the story of naval aviator Pete “Maverick” Mitchell back to the big screen. Tom Cruise reprises his role in this high-octane sequel, which combines modern filmmaking techniques with the thrilling aerial sequences that defined the original.
