Halloween returns to the big screen, digitally restored and featuring an exclusive interview and retrospective with director John Carpenter presented by The JPT & What's Up Newp
John Carpenter's original 1978 classic that defined a genre returns to the big screen this October, digitally restored and remastered by the original cinematographer. Halloween has become one of the most successful independent films of all time and launched an iconic horror franchise that continues to this day.
See the film that brought Michael Myers into nightmares everywhere, earning the villain a place among classic horror fiends, and launched the career of the original "scream queen" Jamie Lee Curtis.
John Carpenter’s Halloween premiered on October 25th, 1978, not in Los Angeles with a big event at Mann’s Chinese Theater - instead it opened in Kansas City. It did quite well there and opened up in Chicago, and then earned showings in New York.
