The Women’s Adventure Film Tour is a celebration of the inspiring women around us, doing extraordinary things in the name of adventure.
This tour is Australia’s original women’s adventure film tour, created by Adventure Entertainment in partnership with outdoor sponsors and women’s groups worldwide. In a global first it was launched to a sell-out crowd in Sydney in May 2017 and has grown to become a success throughout the world with screenings across Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Italy, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, India and more.
The Women’s Adventure Film Tour is an annual program, enjoyed by 10,000s of attendees around the world. Every year, our selection of unique films are carefully chosen to show awesome women achieving their personally adventurous goals. Being adventurous doesn't always have to mean being the fastest, going the highest or doing the most extreme things. Adventure for most of us is stepping outside our comfort zone and climbing our own personal Everest. The films showcase real stories about women from a variety of cultures and sports around the world.
We aim for the festival to be enjoyed by women, children and men of all ages

SEA BIRDS is an inspiring story that explores the lives of 25 ladies who swim in the ocean together everyday. No matter how much experience you’ve had in life it can be as unpredictable as the ocean. Pauline and Mina demonstrate that there’s always a hand of friendship that will find you and hold you when you least expect it. Side by side, or bum cheek to bum cheek, the SEA BIRDS have discovered that the cold water is unpleasant, that it’s hard to be pretentious when you’re in the nude and that in the middle of the ocean you just might find the freedom you’re searching for.

"Just Be" is a short movie about the art of living wide rather than living long. "Life's short, they say. But...maybe it's just long enough, if you live it right." Yes, it's two girls mountain biking, but the message is transferable to everyone, no matter which activity you choose outdoors.

Sophia Schwartz's 2020 project “Jack of All Trades'' was born from the desire to push herself in the mountains. Sophia has the most fun in the mountains when she feels like she is growing her ability level in all aspects of skiing and working alongside friends to develop new skill sets. Secondly, she realized a media project could be a pillar in her progression and help her develop a dependable support system to help her accomplish her goals, and keep her accountable.
So Sophia wrote down 3 big and diverse goals:
Jumping: Land a double backflip
Mountaineering: Ski the Grand Teton
Freeride: Link-up the “Jackson Hole Trifecta” (3 technical ski lines in a single day)
Each one was daunting and inspiring. She knew whether she was able to succeed or not- the days working towards these goals would surely be the most fun of the season.
